Due to the growing impact globally of the COVID-19 virus, cruise providers are taking voluntary precautions by temporarily suspending cruise sailings. 


The Cruise Sale Finder team is in close contact with our cruise line partners so that we can provide the best available information to our customers as this situation evolves.

 

We are also sorry to let you know that the Cruise Sale Finder business will no longer be operating from September this year.

  • If you have an existing booking it is protected and will be honoured, there is nothing you need to do. Your booking will be supported by the Cruise Sale Finder team as normal for sailings until 30 September.
  • For sailings from 1 October, your booking will be supported by the cruise line directly. We’re working closely with our cruise line partners to manage this transition, and you will receive communication from us by June regarding this handover.
  • If you have any Future Cruise Credit, this is already held directly with the cruise line and is still available for you.
  • If your cruise has already been suspended and your booking cancelled, we are still working through these and all refunds or Future Cruise Credits will be honoured.

Refunds are taking longer than originally expected to come back from the cruise lines, due to the sheer volume and the manual process to ensure these are actioned correctly.  We are expecting a 90 day turn around on these and once we receive it we will be able to refund you.

AGE RESTRICTIONS:

From 14 March 2020, any guest aged 70 or older at time of embarkation will be denied boarding from a qualified
treating physician that certifies the person has no severe, chronic medical condition and is fit to travel.

Suspended Globally from 17 March - 31st July 2020 plus Queen Elizabeth sailings up to 8th September

125% FCC (total price of the booking excluding pre-purchases)
110% OBC for anything booked on MyCunard (shore excursions, spa, select dining etc)

This Future Cruise Credit will be applied automatically to your Cunard account for use on a Cunard voyage departing before 31 March 2022


 
Transfer: Guests sailing before 31 August 2020, can now (up to 48 hours before):
- Transfer your booking to any Cunard voyage currently on sale (and not just to those within the next 12 months).
- Transfer your booking to a voyage of higher or lower value (and not just of a higher value, as is usually the case).
- Transfer your booking an unlimited number of times (and not just once).
- Transfer your bookings free of charge, as we will waive the current £100 administration charge for each transfer made.

Cancelling: If you’re booked on a Cunard voyage sailing before 31 August 2020, you may now cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure.
Cancelled bookings will receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) equivalent to the cancellation fees and refunds will be given on any remaining monies paid.
Your Future Cruise Credit can be used on bookings made up to the end of next year (31 December 2021) and can be redeemed against any Cunard voyage sailing until the end of March 2022

Holland America

Suspended Globally from 15 March - mid/end of 2020

Suspension dates vary depending on the shop, destination and embarkation port. Please contact us to check your sailing.

All Alaska and Europe are cancelled until 2021.

For sailings suspended to 30th June, Choose from:
1. Future Cruise Credit for 125% of your cruise fare plus an onboard credit of 250 USD, which can be applied toward any future cruise through December 31, 2021. Taxes will be refunded.
2. Full Refund. - please contact us for a refund so we can request this with the cruise line

For sailings suspended after 1st July, please contact us to check your options

For departures until 15th October made at any time. Cancel by 31st August and you will be able to put the funds paid towards your cruise in a credit for a future cruise (FCC) departing in 2020 or 2021. They must utilise and rebook the FCC by 31 December 2020. Keep their cruise plans on departures through May 31, 2020, an Onboard Spending Credit of:
  • US$200 per stateroom/US$100 per person for voyages 7 days or longer
  • US$100 per stateroom/US$50 per person for voyages 6 days or less

 
MSC

Suspended Globally 10 March - 10 July:

All guests impacted by cancelled sailings, due to the temporary suspension of MSC cruises fleet-wide, will be offered a Future Cruise Credit for 125% of the original cruise fare paid. The Future Cruise Credit can be used on any sailing departing on or before December 31, 2021. For guests who do not use the 125% Future Cruise Credit by December 31, 2021, MSC will provide a full refund of the original cruise fare paid.
 


 


Existing Bookings: For all passengers booked on cruises from 11th July - 30th September 2020, will be able to move their cruise without fees up until 48 business hours prior to departure:
- The new cruise departure date must be prior to 31st December 2021

- The new cruise must be of equal or greater value and any fare difference needs to be paid for

New Bookings: To assist with new bookings, we will offer flexible conditions for all new bookings confirmed by 31 May for cruises until 30 November, 2020.
- Possibility to cancel the cruise up to 21 days before departure

- Up to 22 days before departure: we will not apply any cancellation fees, except for the loss of non-refundable deposit.
- From 21 days before departure: Standard cancellation policy will apply

 
NCL Suspended Globally from 13 March - 31 July 2020 (previously 30 June):

- 125% FCC for cruises before 31 December 2022 OR a 100% refund

For any voyage through and including November 30, 2020, guests are free to cancel anytime up to 48 hours in advance of embarkation. Anyone choosing to cancel will receive a a 100%Future Cruise Credit(FCC)to be used for sailings that embark through December 31, 2022.
Effective Immediately Guest over the age of 70 will now be required to provide a form completed by their Doctor which confirms they are fit for travel and have no chronic conditions.
If guests over 70 Years old do not present the form upon embarkation they will be denied boarding and provided an Future Cruise Credit to the value of their cruise.
This is applicable to all sailings from 16th March 2020 – 6 April 2020
P&O Australia

P&O Assurance (introduced 30th April)
For any existing or new bookings made on cruises departing between June 15 to September 30, 2020, you can now cancel their booking for any reason up to 48 hours prior to departure and receive a Future Cruise Credit to the value of the original cruise fare paid to us, valid for use until 31 December 2021. To receive this benefit please contact us to apply.

P&O have also relaxed their payments policy to defer the final payment date to 30 days prior to departure.

If you have a P&O Cruises holiday booked that was due to depart prior to 11 April 2020

A 125% Future Cruise Credit will be issued to be used for a future cruise sailing any time before the end of March 2022 – simply book by 31 December 2021.

Refunds can be requested on a case by case basis.

Transferring your booking You have the option of transferring your holiday to an alternative date should you wish, and you can do this up to 48 hours before departure

FAQ’s:
 

Q. How do I contact you to change or cancel my booking?

A. We kindly request that if you need help with a booking please email cruise@cruisesalefinder.co.nz and one of our support consultants will contact you within 10 business days. Due to self-isolations and office closures we have limited staff on phones, but all staff are dealing with emails from home.


Q. How long will my refund take to be processed?

A. Due to the volume of enquiries we are receiving, we have been informed by our suppliers that refunds may take up to 90 to process.

 

Q. Will my Future Cruise Credit carry over to my new booking or do I have to purchase it again?

A. No, it will need to be purchased again.

 

Q. What happens if my new booking is at a higher cruise rate? 

A. Guests will be responsible for paying any difference between the new cruise rate and their FCC. 

 

Q. Will I lose my Future Cruise Credit if I cancel my new booking? Or can I still use it on another booking in 2021?

A. No, you will not lose your Future Cruise Credit. The FCC remains attached to your profile and standard policies apply.


Q. When will my cruise resume?

A. Cruise lines have currently suspended sailings worldwide. We extend our apologies for the disruption to your holiday plans and trust you understand this decision was made with everyone’s best interest at heart. Please refer to your cruise lines website for up to date information.


Q. My cruise booking included flights and hotel stays. Do I need to call the airline or hotel?

A. No, if you booked a Flight+Hotel package with us we will do that for you.


Q. What about my flights?

A. If you have independent air, we encourage you to contact your airline carrier directly as they are being flexible with change fees.

Q. I have looked at my cruise lines website but I do not see my answer on there?A. Some cruise lines are still working to update their new cancellation and amendment fee policies. Please check their websites periodically for updates.
